These are binary restart dump files from which KEPLER can be resumed.
New Dump Quantities¶
Since Version 14, beyond the new parameters and saved zonal arrays the following things have been added:
Contains a search path for data files
Stores the APPROX abundances removed from the star
stores the BURN abundances removed from the star
The following are saved if irecb (p 418)
number of maximum burn abundances recorded
mass number of maximum burn abundance
charge number of maximum burn abundance
index of current ppnb isotopes in maximum BURN abundance array
stores the maximum abundances reached in the BURN network
stores the mass coordinates where the maximum abundances in the BURN network were reached
stores the cycle numbers of when the maximum abundances in the BURN network were reached
Array of zonal convection sentinels (
indicates full convection
indicate that overshoot mixing is being done in zones adjacent to convective regions
(for “neutral”) indicates that while still radiative, the zonal interface is within a small amount (quantified and controlled by fracneut (p 59) ) of being convective
(for “thermohaline”) indicates that thermohalin mixing operates in that zone, controlled by alpth (p 425)
(4 spaces), indicate that the interface is well into the regime where only radiative transfer takes place across the interface.
There may still be other mixing processes operating, i.e., due to rotation and induced by dynamos/magnetic fields.
